Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
Your letter dated October 20, 1981 requested that we submit proposed Technical Specification changes to implement NUREG 0737 Items II.F.1.1 and II.F.1.2 and to inform you if installation of the equipment will not,be completed by January 1, 1982.
Subsequent to that letter, we were informed by a member of your staff, Mr. Richard Snaider that a submittal of Technical Specification changes was not required at this time since a
Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) review had not yet been completed.
Since it is possible that OMB review will result in a change to your sample Technical Specification guidance, we will await further notification from you prior to proposing a
Technical Specification change for "these items.
This post-ponement does not affect the implementation of the modifications involved.
We expect to have the equipment necessary to implement II.F.1.1 and II.F.1.2, noble gas effluent monitors and provisions for sampling of radioiodines at accident conditions, installed by January 1, 1982.
