Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
In our letter dated July 29,
- 1981, we agreed to submit a final report on investigations of containment tendon load losses by the end of September.
The extent of analysis required for the tendon relaxation testing which was performed on Ginna tendon wire at Lehigh University has proved to be more extensive than originally anticipated.
Therefore, although a draft of the final report is currently under review, we do not expect submittal to the NRC of the final report until November 16, 1981.
As reported in our letter of July 29, 1981, the tendon lift off testing performed in July 1981 yielded excellent agreement between measured and predicted loads.
- Further, review of data from the load cells which were installed in February 1981 con-tinue to show no appreciable tendon losses.
Thus, continued acceptable tendon performance is expected.
Very truly yours, J
