Dear Mr.,
Crutchfield:
In meetings with members, of the NRC Staff held on May 12 and May 20,
- 1983, we described the steam generator inspection and repairs conducted during the current refueling outage.
We described the basis lfor our determining that the steam generator tubes were locked into the support plates.
We also described modifications which have been made to the sleeving process.
Attachments 1 and 2 to this letter document the visual aids used in these meetings.
The remaining attachments to this letter document the analyses and tests which have been performed related to the inspections and repairs and demonstrate the acceptability of the steam generators for continued operation.
Attachment 4 is proprietary to Babcock and Wilcox.
Therefore, pursuant to 10 CFR 2e790(b) we request that Attachment 4 be withheld from public disclosure.
An affidavit supporting nondisclosure is enclosed with the attachment.
