Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
The purpose of this letter is to revise two SEP topic commitment dates made earlier this year.
In our August. 25, 1982 letter concerning the Draft NUREG-0821 open issues, RGS.E committed to submittal of a detailed flooding analysis by the end of September, 1982.
This commitment was made prior to the official scheduling of the ACRS Subcommittee Meeting on Extreme External Phenomena, held in Los Angeles on October 21 and 22, 1982.
The completion of our analysis was held in abeyance pending the anticipation of guidance resulting from this meeting.
Incorporating information gathered at the ACRS Subcommittee
- meeting, RGEcE plans to submit the detailed flooding analysis by the end of 1982.
RG6E also committed in the August 25 letter to complete the containment liner analysis by October 1, 1982.
- However, difficulty in locating records defining the as-built configuration of the liner and stud arrangement has not allowed this work to be completed by the scheduled date.
We anticipate that the liner analysis can be completed by April 1983.
This schedule would allow the resolution of this item to be included in the Integrated Assessment supplement which is to address the Ginna Structural
'Upgrade Program.
