Dear Mr. Crutchfield:

Our letter to you dated June 17,

1982, informed you that contractor-employed labor personnel involved in the installation of the Post Accident Sampling System (PASS) initiated an economic strike.

At that time we had no indication of the strike duration, consequently, completion of the PASS installation was indeterminate.

The strike began on June 2,

and ended on July 21.

At the present

time, we estimate that the installation is sixty percent complete.

We recently reevaluated the construction schedule and have determined that the installation of the PASS will be completed in mid December of this year.

We anticipate the testing phase will be completed and the system fully operational in mid February 1983.
