Dear Mr. Crutchfield:

This letter is in response to a request from a member of your Staff regarding the status of implementation of certain procedural controls for handling of heavy loads.

In our letter dated March 2,

1983, we stated that procedures in response to NUREG-0612 guide-lines 2 and 5 would be in place by December 31, 1983 and that pro-cedures in response to Guidelines 1 and 6 were also being developed.

Procedures in response to Guidelines 1,

2, 5 and 6 are now in place and have been implemented.
