This letter is in response to a request from a member of your staff and supplements our response, dated November 13, 1981, to NRC Generic Letter 81-21.
Regarding primary system voiding during off-normal events, the Ginna licensed operator training programs include the following:
a) the St. Lucie event, b) mechanisms of voiding and the safety significance of the consequences of voiding, c) signs that voiding is occurring, and d) procedures to prevent and mitigate voiding.
