SUMMARY
OF DECEMBER 17, 1985 MEETING ON CONTAINMENT PURGE AND VENT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS REQUEST The staff and the licensee met to discuss the October 22, 1985 submittal in which the licensee proposed technical specifications for the 48 inch purge system which they plan to modify in the 1986 outage and a
new 8 inch mini-purge system which they propose to install at the same time.
The staff informed the licensee that the proposed technical specifications were deficient in that they did not provide any limitation on when the mini-purge system could be used, they failed to provide for. any action if leakage through a mini-purge supply and exhaust line is excessive, and they did not provide a
test frequency that was appropriate.
The licensee addressed these concerns in a subsequent submittal dated December 23, 1985.
