Your letter of May 1"2, 1966 requested that additional information in response to nine questions be submitted to sup-*
port the Application of Commonwealth Edison Company for a construction permit for Unit 3 at D~esden Nuclear Power Station.
In compliance with this request answers to all of the questions with the exception of question No. 3 were filed with the Com~
mission on May 17, 1966, and constituted Amendment No. 2 *to the Unit 3 Plant Design and Analysis Report.
The attached Summary Memorandum on Excursion i..nalysis Uncertainties, dated May 23, 1966, has been prepared in response to such question No. 3 and is submitted, together with revised pages V-3-24 and XI-2~7 of the Unit 3 Plant Design and Analy~is Report, as Amendment No. 3 thereto.
In due course the Unit 2 Plant Design and Analysis.
Report filed in AEC bocket 50-239 will be amended consistent*
with Amendment Nos. 1, 2 and 3 of the Unit 3 Plant Design and Analysis Report.
