Technical Specification Testing Requirements for Snubbers R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. Stahle:
Rochester Gas and Electric wishes to make two clarifications to the proposed Technical Specification change
- request, as provided in Enclosure 2 to RG&E's July 24, 1987 letter on this subject.
These are as a result of a telephone conversation between the NRC reviewer and RG&E on April 29, 1988.
The clarifications to paragraph 4.14.1.e, page 4.14-5, are shown on the attached sheet and require that snubbers similar to those which have failed due to manufacturer or design deficiency be functionally tested or evaluated to ensure their operability.
The attached page should be substituted for page 4.14-5 submitted. with our July 24, 1987 Application.
We hope that this clarification will help to facilitate the processing of this proposed Amendment to, the Technical Specifications.
