Dear Mr. Lear:
By letters dated January 30I 1986 and February 7I 1986I the NRC Staff provided their review and approval of recent changes in Rochester Gas and Electric's steam generator tube sleeving program.
In these letters RGGE was required to notify NRR within 48 hours5.555556e-4 days <br />0.0133 hours <br />7.936508e-5 weeks <br />1.8264e-5 months <br /> if the results of tube inspections provided indication of tube degradation beyond certain stated criteria.
This requirement for notification was based upon agreements reached with the NRC Staff that were documented in our letter of January 29I 1986.
Our agreement with the Staff was that notification will be made to NRR within 48 hours5.555556e-4 days <br />0.0133 hours <br />7.936508e-5 weeks <br />1.8264e-5 months <br /> but no sooner than the next normal working day.
Thus> special communications are not required to be made on weekends or holidays.
In subsequent discussions between Mr. M. Fairtilei NRRI and Mr. P. Wilkensi RGSE<
on February 18I 1986I this agreement was confirmed.
