R. E. Ginna Resident Inspection 50-244/91-15 (6/25/91 - 8/12/91)
From June 25 to August 12, 1991, the NRC Region I staff conducted a routine safety
inspection at your facility. We have documented
the results in the enclosed report.
At the
end of the inspection, Mr. T. Moslak of my staff summarized the findings with
Mr. T. Marlow and other members of your staff.
The inspection examined in particular the control of operational and maintenance activities
conducted during this period.
Within these areas,
site management's
initial response
to
resolving issues related to the circuit card failures in the Undervoltage Monitoring/Protection
System were found to be comprehensive.
Additionally, measures
taken to expand the
Erosion/Corrosion Program to include categories of small bore piping susceptible to wall
thinning was considered, prudent.
