Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
By letter dated September 3, 1980, we proposed a change to the Ginna Technical Specifications for control rod misalignment to be consistent with Standard Technical Specifications. Based on recent conversations with your Staff, we have determined that because of the manner in which Technical Specification changes for Ginna were issued a number of years ago, requirements in the Technical Specifications we are using appear on different pages than in the version that NRC Staff reviewers are using.
Nevertheless, we believe the specific requirements are identical.
To facilitate your review of the control rod misalignment Technical Specifications, enclosed are copies of pages 3.10-6 to 3.10-10 from our Technical Specifications. In the longer term, we will be working with your Project Manager for Ginna to provide consistency in the location of requirements in our Technical Specifications.
