VICE PRESIDENT TELEPHONE AREA CODE 7IS 546.2700 January 4,
1980 Director of Nuclear Regulation Attention:
Mr. Dennis L. Ziemann, Chief Operating Reactors Branch 52 Division of Operating Reactors U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC 20555
Subject:
Adequacy of Station Electric Distribution System Voltages
Dear Mr. Ziemann:
In compliance with Mr. William Gammill's letter dated August 8, 1979, to all Power Reactor Licensees regarding the above subject, RGGZ is pursuing a testing program which will validate the results of the load flow analysis submitted on December 6,
1979.
This letter will serve as the status report which was promised by letter dated October 8, 1979.
The testing program will consist of installing recording equipment which will continuously monitor amperes, volts and watts on each of the safety-related inplant buses plus the offsite buses up to and including the 34.5 kv bus.
This equipment will be acquired and will be installed during a regularly scheduled plant shutdown.
Data will be collected over a one or possibly two year period so as to obtain electrical data which represents as many operating modes and plant transient conditions as possible.
