We have reviewed the NRC '

8/1 5/79 evaluation of this SEP topic for Ginna and have only minor comments

The evaluation should point out which version of Regulatory Guide 1 ~ 1 4 forms the basis for the Ginna flywheel ISI program (Aug.

1 975 ).

Also, we feel that the last sentence of the eva 1uation would be c 1earer if worded as follows:

"We conclude that the integrity of the flywhee 1 for the reactor coolant pump will be adequate ly maintained

- by the Ginna inservice inspection

program, which is in compliance with the recommendations of Regulatory Guide 1 ~ 14"
