Dear Mr. Ziemann:
In accordance with the requirements of 10CFR part 50, Section 50.55a, paragraph (g) we hereby submit a copy of "Ginna Station Inservice 'Inspection Program For The 1980 1989 Interval," Appendix B to the Ginna Station Quality Assurance Manual.
There are two attachments to the letter Appendix B of the Quality Assurance Manual.and Attachment A
to Appendix B of the Quality Assurance Manual.
Attachment A includes the specific exemptions we are taking in our program and provides a basis for the requested relief.
This program covers the ten (10) year inspection interval for 1980 -1989 for Quality Groups A, B, and C.
High Energy piping outside of containment, steam generator tubing and reactor coolant pump flywheels.
In order to have the Quality Group B and C programs coincide with the interval of the Quality Group A program, we have modified the start date for Quality Group B and C Inspection inter-val from May 1, 1973 to January 1,
1970.
This change will require a Technical Specification change to reflect the new date for the start of the first inspection interval.
All changes to the program (Appendix B) are highlighted with vertical lines in the left margin next to each change.
