Enclosed with this letter is a report describing the RGGE program to upgrade the qualification of safety related splices inside containment at the Ginna Nuclear Plant. This program has consisted of a systematic review of the qualification of splices existing in the original plant configuration, a review of circuit safety functions under design basis event environments, and the design and construction of replacement splices where these were found necessary.
Please note that this report contains proprietary information associated with the design, installation, and testing of splice and insulating systems used at Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, and should be withheld from general distribution accor-dingly.
