Dear Mr. Ziemann:
Members of the Rochester Gas 6 Electric Corporation staff met with representatives of your staff on October 4, 1978 to discuss High Energy Line Breaks Inside Containment.
Since that time we have identified a preliminary list of high energy lines inside containment.
Specific portions of those lines which may need to be analyzed for pipe whip or other effects of pipe rupture will be designated after a containment.
inspection is completed during our upcoming refueling outage beginning in February, 1979.
Westinghouse has retrieved from files information about original analyses performed for some of the piping lines inside contain-ment. It is anticipated that by January, 1979 they will have com-pleted a review of the original analyses and prepared a summary report.
RG&E and Westinghouse are also preparing a program and schedule for resolution of this SEP topic.
We expect. to be able to submit a detailed schedule in January 1979.
