Dear Mr. Plunkett:

In a telephone conservation on May 20, 1999 between Mr. Tim Bolander, Operations Training and Mr. George Hopper, Senior License Examiner, arrangements were modified for the administration of licensing examinations at Saint Lucie Nuclear Plant during the week of August 9, 1999. The written exam willbe administered on June 28, 1999 as previously agreed upon in our letter dated April30, 1999.

This is a change from my letter of February 26, 1999.

Where as we had agreed to administer the examinations under Interim Revision 8, of NUREG-1021, "Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors", we now have agreed that your staff willprepare the examinations using the guidelines of the recently approved "final" Revision 8 of NUREG-1021. We willdiscuss with your staff any changes that might be necessary before'the examinations are administered.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Mr. Bolander has been advised of the policies and guidelines referenced in this letter. Ifyou have any questions regarding the NRC's examination procedures and guidelines, please contact George Hopper at (404) 562-4645, or me at (404) 562-4638.
