Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
Office of Investigations (Ol) completed report regarding alleged discrimination against the Florida Power and Light Company by a former employee who filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Labor.
Based on the Ol activity described in the synopsis, we plan no further action with regard to this matter.

SYNOPSIS The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Region II, Office of Investigations (OI) initiated this investigation on November 18.
- 1997, based on an allegation received by 'the NRC resident inspector at St. Lucie Nuclear Plant.
The investigation was initiated to determine whether the alleger, an emergency preparedness coordinator, was the victim of retaliation as a result of raising safety concerns.
It is concluded that the evidence developed during this investigation did not substantiate the allegation that the licensee retaliated against the alleger as a result of 'his voicing safety concerns.
