Gentlemen:
Thank you for your response
of April 15,
1997, to our Notices of Violation
issued
on March 17,
1997,
concerning activities conducted at your St. Lucie
facility.
We have evaluated
your responses
to violations A and
B and found
that they meet the requirements of 10 CFR 2.201.
We will examine the
implementation of your corrective actions during future inspections.
Your response to violation C denies the violation for failure to have
a
criticality monitor
and provided .your basis for the denial.
As you are aware,
this is
a generic industry issue,
and
NRC is reviewing our position on the
issue.
We will review the information you have provided and inform you of the
results of our deliberation.
