Dear Hr. Plunkett:
On March 29,
1997, the
NRC completed
an inspection at your St. Lucie
1 and
2
reactor facilities.
The enclosed
report presents
the results of that
inspection.
During the 6-week period covered
by this inspection,
your conduct of
activities at the St. Lucie facilities was generally characterized
by safety-
conscious
operations,
good engineering
and maintenance
practices,
and
excellent plant support activities.
As described in this report,
NRC
continues to be concerned
about the routine heavy use of'vertime for Reactor
Control Operators.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
a copy of
this letter and its enclosures will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room
(PDR).
