Re: St Lucie Units 1 & 2 Docket Nos. 50-335 & 50-389 Proposed License Amendment Removal of Reactor Vessel Material S ecimens Schedule Generic Letter 91-01 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) submits herewith a request to amend Facility Operating Licenses DPR-67 and NPF-16 for St. Lucie Units 1 and 2, respectively.

This line-item Technical Specification improvement was made in accordance with the guidance of Generic Letter 91-01, "Removal of the Schedule for the withdrawal of Reactor Vessel Material Specimens From Technical Specifications".

A marked up copy of the affected Technical Specification pages for Units 1 and 2 are included as Attachments 1 and 2, respectively.

A Safety Analysis in support of the proposed amendment is included as Attachment 3. A "Determination of No Significant Hazards Consideration" is provided as Attachment 4.

The proposed amendment has been reviewed by the St. Lucie Facility Review Group and the Florida Power & Light Company Nuclear Review Board.

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(1), a copy of the proposed amendment is being forwarded to the state designee for the State of Florida.
