NRC GENERIC LETTER 89-10 INSPECTION AT ST.

LUCIE UNITS 1 AND 2 DURING THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 9-13, 1991 This letter is to confirm the above dates for a Nuclear Regulatory Commission inspection at your St. Lucie facility.

The inspection will examine the program you have developed in response to Generic Letter 89-10, "Safety-Related Motor-Operated Valve Testing and Surveillance".

The dates were agreed to during telephone conservations between Jim Holt of your Licensing staff and F. Jape of this office.

As discussed on June 28, 1991, it is our understanding that you will forward us the following information to aid in preparing for the inspection:

1.

The procedure or other documents that describe your MOY program.

2.

A list of the valves in the program ('if not already included in the program description requested in 1 above).

3.

A list of the valves for which you have completed the design basis reviews.

4.

A list of the valves. that have been diagnostically tested to verify their capabilities in accordance with the program.
