copy of a Revised Joint Permit Application for maintenance of the intake bay and discharge diffuser pipe at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station.

Letter of Approval from the Luzerne County Conservation District on the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan This Joint Permit Application was previously submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources, Bureau of Dams and Waterway Management on July 13, 1987 (PLE-9614).
Copies of the July 13, 1987, submission were sent to Salem Township Luzerne County and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commi ss ion.

The plan has been reviewed by Luzerne County Conservation District through the technical assistance of Mr. Richard Maculaitis, District Conservationist, USDA Conservation Service and is approved as adequate in accordance with Chapter
- 102, PA Code, Chapter 102 of DER Rules and Regulations.
The Conservation District reviews this plan solely to determine whether it is adequate to satisfy the requirement of 25 PA Code 102.1 e~tse, the erosion control regulations of the Department of Envz.ronmental Resources.
By a determination that the plan is adequate to meet those requirements, neither the Conservation District nor the County assumes any responsibility for the imple-mentation of the plan or the proper construction and operation of the facilities contained in the plan.
