JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - DAM SAFETY INSPECTION REPORT (CAC NOS. MF5199, MF5200)
Dear Mr. Hutto:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This report contains the results of an inspection performed on April 25, 2017, of the category 1 cooling water storage pond dam at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2. Based on observations made during field inspection, review of data submitted by the owner, and discussions with NRC and licensee representatives, FERC found that the Joseph M. Farley category 1 water storage pond dam and appurtenant structures were in satisfactory condition and maintained adequately. No conditions were found adversely affecting the safety, permanence, and operational reliability of the reservoir.
The information in the report is considered critical energy infrastructure information. Thus, the Enclosure is considered "Official Use Only - Security Related Information" and is being withheld from public disclosure.
The enclosure transmitted herewith contains Security-Related Information. When separated from enclosure, this transmittal document is decontrolled.
