SUMMARY

OF MEETING HELD IN BETHESDA, MARYLAND WITH FP8IL ON JANUARY 27, 1983 ON THE FIRE PROTECTION PROGRAM.

FP8L's implementation schedule for installation of the fire protection hardware items indicated that nearly all the items will be completed by 5X power.

This includes detectors, dampers, barriers, fire seals, cable rerouting and sprinklers (which will be installed to NFPA 13 Code).

After core load up to 5A power, FP&L agreed to provide fire watches and patrols which will meet the requirements of the Technical Specifications for inoperative fire protection components/systems; FP8L will identify the gA/gC procedures that will apply to the fire protection hardware installation.

FPSL will formally submit by 2/9/83 their implementation schedule along with justification for operating the plant beyond 5X power for a few of the items that may not be completed by 55 power.

Also, FP8L will provide an explanation for why these items cannot be completed by 5% power.
