C. Distribution In accordance with 10 CFR 50.90, Florida Power 8 Light Company submits herewith three signed originals and forty copies of a request to amend Appendix A of Facility Operating License DPR-67.
The proposed amendment is described below ana shown on the accompanying Tecnnical Specification pages..
The purpose of this amendment is to revise the surveillance requirements of the 125 volt DC batteries in conjunction with modifications to the system.
In place of the current two 1800 amp. hr.
batteries and three 300 ampere chargers, the new system wil 1 consist of two 2160 amp. hr. batteries and five 300 ampere chargers.
The revised specifications are needed to accommodate increased D.C. loads, which will be added during the upcoming refueling outage, and to upgrade these specifications to the latest industry testing standards.
The surveillance changes will make the Unit 1 surveillance requirements similar to the Unit 2 requi rements.
Page 3/4 8-10, 11, 12 Tne Action Statement and sur veil lance reouirements of Specification 3.8.2.3 are changed to address the system modifications and to make the requirements similar to St. Lucie Unit 2.
In order to support our current installation and test schedule, we would r equest review and approval of this change by March 1, 1983.
