Re: St. Lucie Units I & 2 Docket Nos. 50-335 & 50-389 Erner enc 0 erat ions Facilit (EOF)

In response to requests from members of your staff, this letter is being forwarded to provide information on the St. Lucie Plant EOF that has not previously been submitted.

The St. Lucie Plant EOF will be constructed at Florida Power and Light's Midway Substation (at the intersection of Interstate 95 and Midway Road - SR 7I2) located approximately l0.5 miles West of the plant. The EOF will be a l00'y 93'"

concrete block/masonry structure with a prestressed concrete roof, constructed in accordance with the South Florida Building Code. A protection factor is not applicable due to its location w ith respect to the plant. Standard industrial building HVAC will be installed with no special (HEPA) filtration provided. To facilitate radio Communications, a l50'adio tower w ill be installed adjacent to the EOF.

The contract was cwarded on December l6, l982, and the contractor was mobilized on December 20, l 982. The EOF w ill be fully operational by October .I, l 983.

Attached for your information are sheets I and 5 of draw ing 8770-G-789 describing the site plan and floor plan respectively.
