The staff discussed their position on the FP&L approval request for Appendix R
deviations.
On several items the staff denied the request.
These are listed in Items 1 through 7 below.
The designations, A-l, C-5 etc.
correspond to the deviation designations submitted in the FP&L July l4, 1982 letter.

Deviation A-1 was denied.

Deviation C-5 was denjed.
3.
Deviation C-4 was denied.

Deviation H-3 was denied.

Deviation M-M-1 was denied.
f FP&L will document the flame spread, smoke and fuel contributed rating of the control room paneling and that this compli'es with Appendix A.

FP&L will document the conclusion that supports for wrapped conduits will maintain their integrity through a

The date for when this will be done will be established the week of 10/25/82.

FP&L will supply a clarifying paragraph on how the fire stop test report meets the 10/25/82 criteria of E-119-81.

FP&L will formally commit to control room isolation of the source range monitor located on the hot shutdown panel by 10/22/82.
