20555 and Licensing Board Commission Re:

In the Matter of Florida Power 6 Light Company (St. Lucie Plant, Unit No. 2),

Docket No ~~3 9A and Parsons 6 Whittemore Matter

Dear Chairman Smith:

The undersigned is representing Florida Power 6 Light Company in the above described matter while Mr. Bouknight is on vacation. "/

In FPL's Response (June 5,

1981) to the "Brief of Parsons and Whittemore in Opposition to Application

'for Issuance of Subpoenas,H FPL indicated its intention to file by today a partial response to Parsons 6 Whittemore's Late Petition for Intervention.

(Response at 4).

As the

Response

noted, this intention was based on FPL's belief that it would be able to obtain. some of the documents pertinent to this matter from Dade County, Florida.

FPL has been able to obtain some of those documents, but was not able to do so-as expeditiously as it had anticipated.

FPL still intends to file a partial response to the late Petition and will do so as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, FPL still has been unable to obtain any documents from Parsons and Whittemore.

Accordingly, FPL continues to 8 l. 06 88 0 3l~~
