MEMORANDUM AND ORDER November 7, 1979 We have recently received all the documents referred to in our October 4, 1979 order.

In accordance with the general schedule set forth in that order, the hearing on the stability of the applicant's electrical grid and the

~ general adequacy -of the plant's emergency'power supplies will begin at 9:30 A.M. on'u'esda

1979. It will be held in or near Miami; the precise location will be

set forth in a subsequent order.

In connection with the hearing, we believe it would be advantageous for us to be given a guided tour of the.applicant's new System Control Center. and to observe-as"well the Dispatcher.

Training Simulator.

Accordingly, on the first day of the hearing we will recess at mid-day and begin the tour in mid-afternoon.

Representatives of all parties may, of

course, attend if they wish to do so.

The hearing will then reconvene on Wednesday morning and continue that week until concluded.

In scheduling the hearing, we have relied upon the intervenors'epresentation that they will meet the November 16th deadline for filing their witness prepared testimony.

If -the hearing were to be postponed, scheduling conflicts could delay it for a considerable period.

Accordingly, we expect all the parties to do their utmost to insure that the hearing can go forward on the date assigned.
