This refers to the Enforcement Conference conducted by Dr. C. Paperiello and
other members of the NRC staff, with Mr. D. Galle and other members of your
staff, on February 14, 1991, at .the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Region III
Office in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, regarding the apparent violation identified in
NRC Inspection Reports No. 50-237/91006(DRS); No. 50-249/91006(DRS) of
activities at the Dresden Station, Unit 2, authorized by NRC Operating License
No. DPR-25.
Our report also documents the results of our review of the
material your staff submitted to our office on February 22, 1991, and our
subsequent discussions between Dr. C. Paperiello and other members of the NRC
staff and Mr. M. Richter and others of your staff on March 4, 1991.
The
results of our review were presented to Mr. Richter on March 12, 1991.
The enclosed copy of our report identifies those matters discussed ~uring the
conference and the results of our review of the supplemental material
submitted to our office.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2~790 of the Commission's Regulation~, a copy of
this letter and the enclosed report will be placed in the NRC Public Document
Room.
