SUMMARY

OF MEETING WITH COMMONWEALTH EDISON COMPANY A meeting was held at NRC's office at One White Flint North~* Rockville,*

Maryland, on July 12, 1990.

The purpose of this meeting was to provide Commonwealth Edison Company's (CECo) management an opportunity to describe the programmatic improvements at the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, related to operations and maintenance, to the NRC staff. These improvements were developed in the fall of 1987 following programmatic weaknesses identified by the staff, INPO, and CECo self assessments.* Enclosure 1 contains a list of meeting attendees and Enclosure 2 contains copies of vu-graphs presented by CECo during the meeting.

• The v~u.-graphs provide a good synopsis.of the corrective actions taken by both CECo and Dresden Station management and personnel over the past three years and t,~e significant improvement in plant operation and condition that has resulted.
