- IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTY - $150,000 By EN 88-32 dated April 28, 1988 the Cammi ss ion was notified of the intent of OE to issue a Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty in the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000) to Corrunoriwealth Edison Company.
This action was based on violations involving equipment quali-fication requirements of 10 CFR 50.49.
The licensee responded to the Notice in letters dated June 28 and July 1, 1988.
After careful consideration of the licensee's response, the staff has concluded that the violations did occur as set forth in the Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty.
Accordingly, an Ord~r Imposing Civil Pena. lty fo the amount of $150,000 has been i~sued today.
Under the terms of the Order, the licensee may within 30 aays of the date of the Order, pay the civil penalty or request a hearing.
