GPA/PA ARM/L'FMB Plant file M. Carus.o In response to a Region III request for technical assistance (TIA III-87-02) dated April 22, 1987, we reviewed the Commonwealth Edison (CECo) program developed to address the.adequacy of as-built embedment plates at Dresden and Quad Cities.
From the results of this review, we coricluded that CECo's program does satisfat~
torily address our safety concerns regarding embedment plates installed with excessive strap anchor spacing (assuming.CECo continues to conduct their program appropriately). The basis for.our conclusion and the details of our.review are documented in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
