Dresden Station Units 2 and 3 Application for Amendment* to Facility Operating Licenses, DPR-19 and 25, Appendix A, Technical.specifications NRC Docket Nos. 50-237 and 50-249
Dear Mr. Murley:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.90, Commonwealth Edison proposes to amend Appendix A~ Technical Specifications to Facility Operating Licenses DPR-19 and DPR-25 to make several changes.
The proposed changes clarify the applicability of the containment oxygen concentration and drywell torus differential pressure Limiting Conditions of Operation (LCO) and surveillance Requirements.
Additionally, the proposed changes provide clear action statements if the oxygen concentration or torus drywell differential pressure LCO's are exceeded.
These changes have been patterned after the BWR Standarized Tech Specs and have been discussed with your staff at a January 11, 1988 meeting.
The proposed changes have been reviewed and approved by both on-site and Off-Site review in accordance with Commonwealth Edison Company procedures.
We have reviewed these proposed amendments in accordance with 10 CFR 50.92(c) and determined that no significant hazards consideration exist.
This evaluation is documented in Attachment 3.
Commonwealth Edison is notifying the State of Illinois of our application for this amendment by transmitting a copy of this letter and its attachment to the designated state Official.
In accordance with 10 CFR 170, a fee remittance in the amount of
$150.00 is also enclosed.
