You were requested by
- CotnmO:.flwealth Edison Company to submit specific information to the NRC pertaining to those wheels found to contain keyway ultrasonic indications.
You enclosed an affidavit also dated May l§Y. 1981 to support your request.
You state in your affidavit that the documents transmitted by the referenced.submittal provide detailed materials and design information regarding shrunk-on wheels of General _Electr1c's (GE) nuclear steam turbines, which you consider proprietary. You also maintain that the information is not a~ilable to others and that it w~developed at. GE's expense. Thus. you state that disclosure of the data to your cQmpetitors would be detrimental to GE.
We have reviewed the app11cation and affi_davit ba$ed on the requirements and criteVia of 10 CFR 2.790 and have detennined that the above.. mentfoned information sought to be withheld contains propr~tary.commercial
