.Mr. J~ G. Keppler,, Dir,ect,er Directorate of Inspection and Enforcement U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137

Dear Mr. Keppler:

50-10, 50-237, 50-249 50-254 & 50-265 59-295 & 50-304 Upon reviewing our June 2, 1975, response to IE Bulletin 75-04A, we noted some statements which mig.ht ne'ed clarification.

In the second paragraph of the response to Item 2, we stated, "a meeting is conducted each day to discuss *** "

This statement is intended to ref er to the normal working days Monday through Friday.

Work scheduled to be performed over weekends or holidays is reviewed on the preceding *work day.

Top management personnel are also available on call on weekends and holidays.

The same paragraph also states, "if safety significant jobs are required on an expedited basis 9 the required pr.ecautions are reviewed by the on-site review committee."

Our intention was to ref er to those jobs which are beyond the scope of existing station procedures.

Any emergency procedures which might be required will be developed in accordance with our quality assurance program.

We hope that these clarificaiions will avoid any potential misinterpretations of our June 2 response.

Sincerely,

$~~
