SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE 9-1 to g.;..23 9-23 to 9-26 UNIT TWO SEPTEMBER, 1980 Unit Two started thi mortth operating at a power level of. 465 MWe.

On September 23, at 0529, the Unit scrammed on low vacuum, due to the "B" air ejector main' steam supply re~ief valve lifting and exhausting to the

. condenser.

In addition, a second source of air in-leakag~was discovered on "C" turbine hood and promptly repaired.

The reactor was brought critical at 2101. on September 23, but the Unit re-mained off system until all major sources of in-leakage were found and repaired.

9-26.to 9-30 The Unit was placed back on the system at 1132 onSeptember 26 and continued operating through the remainder of the I.

month, reachinga power level of 413 MWe, with a capacity factor and availability of47% and 89%, respectively *

  • e I

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE UNIT THREE SEPTEMBER, 1980 9-1 to 9-30 Unit Three operated continuously during the month of September, with a capacity factor and availability of 93% and 100%, respectively, with no significant problems, at an average load of 742.MWe.
