Dear Sir or Madam,

On behalf of AREVA NP SAS, AREVA Inc. (AREVA) issued an Interim Report to the NRC on De-cember 7, 2016 concerning the identification of an issue related to fabrication record anomalies at Creusot Forge (Reference 1), for the Sainte Lucie 1 pressurizer. This interim report set forth a completion date for the evaluation of June 30, 2017.

The evaluation is now complete. AREVA NP has concluded that the fabrication record anomalies identified through the evaluation of the Sainte Lucie 1 forgings manufacturing files would not create

  • a substantial safety hazard and are therefore not reportable in accordance with 10 CFR Part 21.
