Dear Mr. Kingsley:
We received the enclosed Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) correspondence on September* 17, 1999 transmitting the FEMA evaluation report for the May 26, 1999 Plume Exposure Pathway Emergency Preparedness Exercise at the Dresden Nuclear Generating Station.
There were no deficiencies identified by FEMA during the exercise. FEMA identified one Area Requiring Corrective Action in Grundy County.,
We fully re.cognize that any corrective actions to be implemented may involve parties and political institutions which are not under your direct control. Nonetheless, we expect that assistance, if appropriate, will be extended.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed FEMA correspondence will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
