SAFETY EVALUATION REGARDING PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CHANGES AT DRESDEN UNitS 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. M96180 AND M96i81)
By letter dated June 20, 1996, as supplemented by l ~~?er~A~cltld m8<:2eber 30,,
1996, and March 5, 1997, Commonwealth Edison Company,. the.licensee, requested changes*to the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, UniftlS82/Glfi~C11f..iJ°~~hnical Speci fi cations (TS)..
The proposed changes incorporate NRC ~ap'p'rbv~d!ithermal limit licensing methodology in the list of ap~roved methodologies used in establishing the cycle specific thermal limits.. Other minor editorial changes are also* proposed.
- The Reactor Systems Branch (SRXB) has reviewed the proposed.technical specification and bases cha~ges in the Dresden, Units 2 and 3, TS.. The staff ha~ concltided that operation in the proposed mannei will not endanger the public health and safety and that issuance of the proposed am.endment will not
- be inimical to the common defense and security under the *limitations delineated in the associated safety evaluation.
