Dear Mr. Farrar:
Thank you for your letter dated January 31, 1996, in response to our
- December 18, 1995, letter concerning activities associated with the Unit 2.
turbine repairs and control rod drive ~aintenance activities ~t the Dresden station.
In our letter, we requested that you review Dresden's practices, procedures,.
and management's expectations concerning:
(1) the review of work packages* and radiation work permits (RWP) prior to wor.k activities and (2) procedural adherence during maintenance and test activities.
We requested that y9u submit the results of your inv~stigatiori to the NRC.
Yo~r response indicated that Dresden~s practices, procedures, and management's*
. e~pectations clearly stated that personnel understand and comply with all the work documents and RWPs, that adequate tjme was provided to review the
- documents, and that nothing short of strict procedural compliance was acceptable.
We found your investigation to b~ sufficient to support your conclusions and have no additional questions regarding this matter.
We request that yo~
retain the supporting documentation for your investigation for a minimum of one year from the date of this letter.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Conunission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
