SUBJECT:
DRESDEN SYSTEMS BASED INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL INSPECTION (SBICI)
I would like to inform you that the NRC will perform a systems based instrumentation and control inspection (SBICI) at the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3.
The onsite inspection activities are scheduled for the weeks of August 15, August 29, and September 12, 1994.
The inspection will assess design, operation, maintenance, surveillance, quality assurance, and corrective actions associated with instrumentation and control systems.
To accomplish its objectives, the SBICI team will review a broad range of information and activities for the I&C system loops selected.
The inspection will be conducted according to Inspection Procedure 93807, "Systems Based Instrumentation and Control Inspection".
