that Technical Sp~cification Figure 3.6.1 w~s inaccur~te~ Within these areas,

the inspection consisted of selective examination of representative records

and interviews with personnel.

Based on the results of this inspection~ one apparent violation was identifi~d *

  • and is being cons ictered. for escalated enforcement action in accordance with

the "General Statement of Pol fey and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions".***

The apparent violation

involves the inaccurate information submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory

Commission in support of an amendment request for Figure 3.6.1 of the Uni_t 2

Technical Specifications. This inaccurate information led to the amendment

being_ granted. Once you d_i scovered the inaccurate information and informed

the NRC of it, a new amendment request was sµbmitted because the inaccurate*

inforinatiOn had a significant impact on the validity of the amendme_nt.

Ad:ordingly, no Notice of Violation is presently beirig jssued for this

inspection finding .. Please be ~dvised that the number and characterization of

appa~ent-violations*described iri the enclosed inspection report may change as*

a result of further NRC review.
