This refers. to the special safety inspec_tion conducted by Messrs ... *
M. A. Kunowski and A. w. Markley of this office from May 11-
June 9, 1992.
The inspection included a review of activities
authorized for your Dresden Nuclear Power Station facility, Units*
2 and.3.
At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were
discussed with those members of your staff identified in the
- enclosed repor*t.
Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the
report~ Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a
selective examination of procedures and representative records,
observations, independent measurements, and interviews with
personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be
in violation of NRC requirements.
However, as described in the
enclosed inspection report, the violation was fategorized at a .
Severity Level Vandis not being cited because the criteria
specified in Section VII.B.1 ot the "General Statement of Policy
and Procedu_res for NRC Enforcement Actions," (Enforcement Policy,
10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1992)), were satisfied.
