Dear Mr. Reed:

This confirms our plans as discussed between Mr. Richard Knop of this office and Mr. Perry Barnes of your staff to conduct an enforcement conference at 1:00 p.m. CDT on May 27, 1992, at the Region III office at 799 Roosevelt Road, Building 4, Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the findings of an inspection performed at Dresden which identified apparent violations of NRC requirements.

An inspection report will be provided to you prior to our scheduled meeting;. a summary of the apparent vi o 1 at ions and concerns is enclosed for your review.

At the enforcement conference, you should be prepared to provide an oral presentation and a concise written handout addressing the root causes and contributing factors for the apparent violations and any corrective actions you have taken or planned.
