This refers tci the Enforcement.Confefence conducted by Mr. C. E. Norelius
and other members of the NRC staff with Mr. D. Galle and other members of
your staff on November 21, 1991, regarding activities authorized by NRC
Operating License No.
DPR~25 for the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Uriit 3.
The purpose of the confere~ce was to discuss the circumstances surroutiding
the Octciber 11, 1991, unpl~nned exposures of t~o personnel during inservice
inspection of a recirculation pump dischafge valve.* We have enclosed a
report summarizing this discussion.
You will be notified by separate correspondence of our decision regarding
the Enforcement Action based on information presented and discussed at the
Enforcement Conference.
No response is required until you are notified of
the proposed Enforcement Action.
ln a~cordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosure.will be placed in the NRC Publi~ Document
- Room.
