Downers Grove, IL 60515. Dear Mr. Reed: S-{) -Jj 1I91-IJ This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Messrs. M. P. Huber and J. F. Smith of this office and NRC consultant Mr. D. Casada of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) on April 15 through May 1, 1991, of activities at the Dresden Nuclear Power station, Units 2 and 3, authorized by NRC Operating Licenses No. DPR-19 and No. DPR-25 and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. E. Eenigenberg and others of your staff*at the conclusion of the inspection. The enclosed copy of our inspection report identifies areas examined during the inspecti*on. These areas consisted of reviews of the Motor Operated Valve Program prepared in response to Generic Letter 89-10, "Safety-Related Motor-Operated Valve Testing* and Surveillance" and of the response to NRC Bulletin 88- 04, "Potential Safety-Related Pump Loss" .. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, and interyiews with personn~l.
No violations of NRC requirements were identified during the course of this inspection. In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosed inspectiop report* will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room .
